if this needs user awareness that this is there and how to operate it (e.g. does this imply browser extensions?), it may be of interest to add a note in the readme as well on its presence and usage (even if linking relevant docs) as well? otherwise LGTM.
down the road i think we were interested to add self-hosted packages such as galene as well, which would not be part of fediverse, but yeah
we need a permission model that redirects to the login page (and back after login) when it's necessary
