As a Fediversity maintainer,
given that we are able to import applications from contract-based implementations (#601),
I want to see such contracts to get production-ready for use in Nixpkgs,
so that the amount of applications we can reuse may expand.

this has now been split out to small PRs starting with https://github.com/NixOS/nixpkgs/pull/522054, while we also should not need this for cross-node interactions (as per https://github.com/NixOS/nixpkgs/compare/master...KiaraGrouwstra:nixpkgs:contracts-microservice-explore).
let's say we can demonstrate the concept for now, while letting upstream review at their pace.
